Wood’s Powr-Grip’s engineering team is made up of highly skilled and specialized mechanical engineers. With more than 40 years of experience in designing and manufacturing vacuum tools and equipment, our designers have the right combination of talents to produce efficient, effective, high-quality products for materials handling and equipment mounting.
In addition, our Chief Engineer is a subcommittee member for Standard B30.20 of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Standard B30.20 addresses vacuum lifting and general materials handling products, which are especially relevant to the industries Wood’s Powr-Grip serves. This standard includes provisions that apply to the marking, construction, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation of below-the-hook lifting devices used for attaching loads to hoists.
