The Wood's Powr-Grip (WPG) IntelliGrip app (hereafter referred to as "the app") is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy of its users. Data Collection and Usage:
The app does not collect or utilize any personal data or files except as outlined below:
Preference settings: The app stores preference settings, controlling its appearance and functionality, solely on the user's device. These settings are not transmitted elsewhere.
(Android version only) Location data: The app requests access to Location permission to locate nearby lifters using Bluetooth. Location data is solely utilized for this purpose and is not transmitted to WPG for any reason.
User activity within the app: Accessing the WPG Parts Store from the app is logged by WPG. Users can opt-out of this data collection in the app settings.
Maintenance Accounts: Users have the option to create a ‘WPG Diagnostics Account'. If opted for, email, first name, last name, and company details are stored. This account can be deleted either through the app or via the provided link: https://www.wpgdiagnostics.com/WPGDiagnostics/html/deleteAccount.php.
- Lifter Maintenance Data Collection: Lifters connected to the app through Bluetooth will collect anonymous data on:
Lifter 12V battery health and usage
Lifter 9V battery health and usage
Lifter vacuum leak rates
This data is transmitted to WPG for analysis and product development. Users can opt-out of this data collection in the app settings.
- Users can input lifter-specific details, including the last-changed dates for the 12v and 9v batteries, the last-changed date for pads, and custom reminders. This data is solely stored for user reference.
If the above data is given, WPG links lifter data (ie. serial number, model, etc.) to your account. This link to your account can be deleted in the app.
Legal Basis for Processing:
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR for collecting and processing your data:
Your consent (e.g., when creating a WPG Diagnostics Account)
Performance (e.g., providing app functionality or support)
