Wood's Powr-Grip is pleased to announce two versatile new below-the-hook vacuum lifters specifically designed to operate in production, manufacturing or fabrication environments: the PRH49AIRS and the PTH49AIRS.
These vacuum lifters are exceptional in the Wood's line-up because they both come standard with an integrated hoist. The hoist is designed to operate on the same compressed air source that the lifter uses. This eliminates the need for a secondary power supply and additional controls. The hoist and lifter controls are conveniently located on the vacuum lifter for ergonomic use by the operator.
The integrated air cylinder design brings rigidity to the lifter/hoist combination. This rigidity eliminates the chain slap and chain sway found in conventional hoists, in order to provide quicker, more precise handling and placement of materials on the production line.
Depending on customers' needs there are options for powered rotation (the PRH49AIRS) or powered tilt (the PTH49AIRS). Each lifter is capable of continuous duty, along with smooth, powered 90° tilt or 90° rotation and 48 in. [122 cm] of vertical travel.
The ingeniously designed hoist cylinder gives the operator greater control with smoother movements, and no bumps or jerks, and minimal motion drift. The design also limits sudden starting and stopping that could otherwise compromise the safety of the material being handled.
Load capacities on these vacuum lifters range from 500 lbs [225 kg] to 800 lbs [365 kg], depending on the pad frame configuration selected. With the integrated hoist, PRH-AIRS and PTH-AIRS lifters offer production facilities superior handling and high productivity at an affordable price.
